The space
This property is reported to be one of Australia’s oldest existing properties, Circa 1812. Named “Catherine Cottage” in honour of Catherine Molle, wife of George James Molle, Lieutenant-Governor of NSW in 1815”

Catherine Cottage is a property where history meets modern design creating a unique bespoke accommodation in the heart of Hobart. The fusion between the original convict brick features and stunning modern-day architectural design has resulted in a beautiful property in which to stay and enjoy whilst discovering Hobart.

Private and peaceful offering guests a lovely courtyard and a relaxing lounge / sitting area along with full length glass bi folds that open out to extend the inside / outside feel of the cottage.

A modern kitchen and bathroom along with a study and a single pull-out couch. The master bedroom is luxurious with a moody pallet and an exceptionally comfortable Koala mattress Queen bed.

Catherine Cottage offers you everything you require for a great stay in Hobart, a smart TV, NBN WIFI, full kitchen with a coffee machine, and a washer /dryer. Located just on the cusp of the central business district you are perfectly located to the city and both West and South Hobart.

The hosts acknowledge the Nipaluna people as the traditional owners of the land on which this cottage sits and pay their respects to their elder’s past, present and emerging.

Neighborhood overview
Located on the cusp of the Hobart CBD. You a few minutes walk away from the city center with easy access to both South Hobart and West Hobart .

A few meters away is the Hobart Rivulet walking track which is certainly worth exploring, the track leads up through Cascade gardens to Cascade Brewery.
Getting around
Very easy to get around with the city close by, walking distance to Salamanca place and the Hobart waterfront. E - Scooters are available in the area along with Uber, Bus or Taxi services.
